On Safari we would often search for an animal only to spot them staring straight at us!
We have a love affair with cats don’t we, so although they are not in Kenya, I had to include a Tiger just staring like they do, leaving us wondering what they are thinking? Also because they are endangered, in the last 150years their habitat range has shrunk by 95%
We treasure Gold and they really are a treasure we need to protect- “Veins of Gold”

I wanted to viewer to feel that the animals were truly part of the landscape, their natural habitat- unfiltered. So, I played with spray paint and acrylic paint until I got the background I wanted and from there decided to add the animal simply and directly with professional pens. After that came the gold leaf just to emphasise the rich gold in front of us; that of the landscape and animal itself, we must protect.
