You can by this separately but it is part two of a pair.
Although the Elephants are used to the Jeeps on Safari’s and are tolerant most of the time they will let you know if you are encroaching a little too much, especially with little ones around. Their ears flapping are a tell tale sign so I have to capture both the love and protective nature of these sentient beings in this diptych.
I played with the paint by running it behind and in front of the drawing just to illustrate they can come out of nowhere, watch yourself!

I wanted to viewer to feel that the animals were truly part of the landscape, their natural habitat- unfiltered. So, I played with spray paint and acrylic paint until I got the background I wanted and from there decided to add the animal simply and directly with professional pens. After that came the gold leaf just to emphasise the rich gold in front of us; that of the landscape and animal itself, we must protect.
